Gisborne Surf school (GSS) is based on the East Coast of the North Island, New Zealand.
Gisborne is the prime location for surfing and experiencing the culture that only New Zealand offers. With its warm climate and numerous surf spots, Gisborne is an ideal location for beginner surfers through to advanced competitors.
GSS offers a range of learner packages to cater for your requirements, throughout the year.
Sam Johnson, is a qualified and certified surf instructor with 16 years surfing experience.
He holds a Unitech Certificate in Sports and Leisure and has been competing at a national level for the last 12 years.
Sam is actively involved in the surf industry and currently contracts his surfboard manufacturing services to The Boardroom at Wainui Beach, Gisborne
